Results may vary and not all individuals can do the EyeCTester Self-Check properly. User, should check with a licensed professional to determine eye health condition. There are a number of eye conditions that the EyeCTester Self-Check does NOT test for, so although normal results are usually seen in individuals with normal eyes, a number of eye conditions can show normal results, even though there could be a serious underlying ophthalmic and / or systemic condition. Eye diseases that may show normal results include cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, tumors in the eye, neurological diseases including papilledema and other conditions.

About Us

NEDS team has experience in optometry, ophthalmology, neurology and neuro-ophthalmology. NEDS mission is to empower patients to become excellent self checkers of their vision by training on the EyeCTester Self-Check app. NEDS believes quick and frequent eye checks are important to do in addition, but not as a substitute to seeing an eyecare provider.

Many, but not all, problems of the eye may result in changes on the EyeCTester Self-Check app, whether the problem is refractive, a problem with the retina, optic nerve or visual pathways. So, NEDS believes you should get into the habit of being an eye checker!
